Where do you get your staff for meetings and tour programs?
All ACCENT team members have years of experience working in the destination management and event business. We contract the city’s most knowledgeable, licensed tour guides who are not only well- versed on the city and specialized tours that we offer, but also understand the complexities of moving groups of various sizes in and around the city. ACCENT requires that all Tour Guides are familiar with company procedures and practices, including procedures for medical emergencies. An on-site ACCENT Operations Manager oversees the tour guides and conducts an orientation with all tour guides on ACCENT’s policies prior to the tours and to ensure that their capabilities match the needs of the program.
Where do you get your staff for the Children’s Programs?
ACCENT’s professional, specially-trained managers are CPR & Pediatric First Aid certified. ACCENT staff are teachers, professional child care providers, or mothers who simply love working with children and have completed ACCENT’s specialized training program. ACCENT employees’ have had criminal background checks run and their references have been thoroughly checked.
What will my child be doing while using ACCENT on Children’s Arrangements services?
We have a schedule of daily activities planned for the children. Younger children enjoy toys, songs, and lots of attention. Older children play age-appropriate games and make arts and crafts throughout the day. Entertainers are often a part of the program; on these days magicians, puppeteers, or musical guests entertain the children. And often we offer youth field trips so that the older children can visit the sites of the hosting city.
Will there be a nap or quiet time? What if I don’t want my child to sleep?
Of course! After lunch from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm is quiet time in the Children’s Camp. At this time the lights will be lowered and a quiet video will be shown on the television. All other activities in the center will cease. Younger children usually take their naps. Older children enjoy the quiet and movie time if they don’t want to sleep.
My child takes medicine during the day. Can ACCENT administer the medicine?
ACCENT staff does not administer medication. You are invited, however, to drop by the Children’s Camp at any time throughout the day to take care of your child’s medical needs.
What if a fire alarm causes the building to have to be evacuated? Where will I meet up with my child?

At the time of registration, you will need to give us your hotel number, cell phone or pager numbers. These will be placed in your child's file. In an emergency, we will use your number to contact you. We will also use the message center at the convention center if available. ACCENT always has a phone number on site where you may call us to check on your child(ren).
